Who is responsible for your data

SLD Marketing is a sole trader business run by Sarah Ward and is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can reach me at sarah@sldmarketing.co.uk.

What I collect

If you use the contact form I collect your name, email address, company name if you give one, and the content of your message. If you email me directly I hold whatever you choose to send.

I do not collect special category data, and I do not ask for payment details through this site.

Why I collect it and the lawful basis

I use your details only to respond to your enquiry and, if we go on to work together, to manage that work. The lawful basis is legitimate interests, specifically responding to someone who has contacted my business, and where relevant the steps taken before entering into a contract.

I do not add enquiries to a marketing list and I will not email you about anything other than your enquiry unless you ask me to.

How long I keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted. Records relating to clients are kept for as long as needed to deliver the work and to meet legal and accounting obligations, normally six years.

Who else sees it

Your data is not sold and is not shared for marketing. It is handled by the service providers that host this website and deliver my email, acting on my instructions under appropriate contractual terms.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of the data I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how I use it, and ask for it in a portable format. Email me and I will respond within one month.

If you are not happy with how I have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes I will update this page and change the date at the top.
