Social media audit

A social media audit that tells you what to stop doing

Every channel reviewed and scored, your competitors benchmarked, and a straight answer on whether any of this is bringing you enquiries.

Posting more is rarely the answer.

Sarah Ward, Chartered Marketer, reviewing social media performance for an SME

What the audit answers

Most SMEs running social media are busy and unsure. There is a posting schedule, some of it performs, nobody can say which parts are worth the effort, and the honest question underneath is whether the whole thing is generating anything at all.

The audit answers that. I look at each channel the way your audience meets it and the way the numbers actually behave, benchmark you against the businesses competing for the same attention, and separate what is working from what is habit.

You end up with a prioritised plan: what to stop, what to change, what to start, and which single channel deserves most of your time. It is deliberately short on charts and long on decisions.

From £495

Includes the written report and a call to talk it through. If you want your wider digital marketing reviewed at the same time, a full digital audit starts at £950.

What the audit covers

  1. 01

Goals and what success should look like

What the channels are supposed to achieve, and whether anyone has ever said so out loud.

  2. 02

    Channel by channel review

Profile setup, consistency, posting frequency and whether each platform is worth keeping.

  3. 03

    Audience and reach

Who is actually seeing you, whether they are the people you sell to, and how that has moved.

  4. 04

    Content assessment

What you post, what performs, what falls flat, and the formats you are not using.

  5. 05

    Message and tone of voice

Whether you sound like one business, and whether that business is one people would buy from.

  6. 06

    Competitor benchmarking

How three or four comparable businesses are performing, and what they are doing that you are not.

  7. 07

    Engagement and community

How conversations are handled, response times, and the enquiries hiding in your inbox.

  8. 08

    Measurement and tracking

Whether social traffic and enquiries are being recorded at all, and whether the numbers are trustworthy.

  9. 09

    Resource and workflow

Who does the work, how long it takes, and whether the process is survivable.

  10. 10

    Prioritised action plan

A sequenced list of what to do first, with the reasoning, so the audit turns into work.
