Marketing consultant for small businesses
Senior marketing help, sized for a small business
No account managers, no retainer you cannot get out of, and no plan that assumes a team you do not have. Just someone experienced working out what to do next, and why.
Small budgets punish scattered marketing the hardest.

What working with me looks like
Most small businesses are not short of marketing ideas. They are short of time, and short of anyone senior enough to say which three of the twenty ideas actually matter this quarter. So everything gets a little attention, nothing gets enough, and the results stay flat.
I start by finding out where you are: what has been tried, what your customers respond to, where enquiries genuinely come from, and what a realistic budget looks like. Then we agree a small number of things worth doing properly.
You get a plan written for the resource you have, not the resource an agency wishes you had. If you want help delivering it, I can pick up the parts you cannot, on a set number of days a month. If you would rather run it yourself, that is a perfectly good outcome and it is how plenty of clients work.
From £495
A social media audit at £495 or a full marketing audit at £950 are the smallest sensible starting points. There is no minimum engagement.

Marketing happens, results do not
Plenty of activity, no clear line between any of it and the enquiries coming in.
Nobody owns it
Marketing is squeezed in around someone's real job, so it is always the thing that slips.
The budget feels wasted
Money going out on ads, tools or a retainer with no way of knowing whether it is working.
Growth has stalled
What worked at your last size has quietly stopped working at this one.
The website does not sell
People arrive, read a bit and leave without ever getting in touch.
You are ready to hire, but not sure who
Working out whether you need a junior, a freelancer or a few senior days a month.
★★★★★
We used Sarah Ward for some extensive deep diving on a marketing plan. She was professional and very thorough. I would recommend for sure.
